Phenology is the study of recurring biological events in the biosphere and the causes of their timing.
PhenoALP is a EU co-funded Interreg Project, under the operational programme for cross-border cooperation Italy–France (ALCOTRA) 2007-2013 aiming at getting a better understanding of phenological changes as related to climate change in the Alps. Project lasted between 2009 and 2012.
ePHENO represents the continuation of PhenoALP and aims at enlarging and strengthening the phenology monitoring network, by including new subjects and promoting an increased participation in dissemination and awareness on phenology. The project started in January 2012 and will last until 2015.
On September, 27th 2013 in Arezzo a meeting was organized on the Phenological gradens. ARPA contributed to the workshop with a talk entitled: "Il coinvolgimento delle scuole nelle osservazioni fenologiche: l'approccio dei progetti PHENOALP e e-PHENO"
